Classical music concert - flute & organ

Event details - Musical evenings in Grimaud

As part of the Soirées Musicales de Grimaud series, the church of Saint-Michel will be hosting an exceptional concert focusing on musical dialogue, from Vivaldi to Johann Sebastian Bach.

Carried by the subtle encounter between the flute and the organ, this programme highlights the expressive richness of these two breath-driven instruments. The interplay of timbres, contrasting registers and dynamic nuances make up a musical conversation of great finesse, in which the influence of Italian music, particularly that of Vivaldi, is revealed in the works of Bach.

Organist Laurent Fievet, winner of international competitions and titular organist of the Notre-Dame basilica in Nice and the Puy de Grasse cathedral, will play the Quoirin organ in Saint-Michel church in dialogue with the flute played by Philippe Depetris, renowned performer and founding artistic director of the Soirées Musicales de Grimaud. Together, they offer a musical moment of harmony, sensitivity and transmission.

A not-to-be-missed cultural event for lovers of classical music and heritage.
