Event details - La Grimobile soapbox race
La Grimobile is Grimaud for an even crazier second edition of the 18 and 19 April 2026. For two days, the village will be transformed into a veritable urban circuit where soapboxes as wacky as they are ingenious, hurtling down the alleyways in a festive, friendly atmosphere.
New this year: an evening event on Saturday evening, followed by a full day of racing on Sunday. On a 300-metre course through the village's emblematic squares, the crews will battle it out using gravity alone, with tight bends, spectacular skids and lots of laughs.
Open to amateurs and the more adventurous alike, the event is all about creativity, originality and fun. With family, friends or colleagues, participants can try to win one of the prizes on offer. Access is free for spectators, while entries to the competition are limited to 50 soapboxes.
