Rire aux étoiles« theatre festival in July 2026 in Grimaud

For four summer evenings, the heart of the village of Grimaud is transformed into an open-air stage with the «Rire aux étoiles» theatre festival. Set up on the Place Neuve, under the village's emblematic bandstand, this free event invites residents and visitors alike to share a convivial moment where laughter is king.

From 6 to 9 July 2026, each evening at 9pm will feature a different comedy performed by professional troupes from a wide range of backgrounds. Absurd situations, a chain of misunderstandings, spicy dialogue and colourful characters punctuate this programme designed to make everyone laugh, whether with family or friends.

There are stories of unlikely encounters, secrets revealed and weekends gone awry, all driven by a generous and accessible theatrical energy. The atmosphere is simple and warm: sit down in the square, enjoy the balmy summer evenings and let yourself be carried away by the laughter that echoes under the stars.

Entirely free of charge, the festival is in the tradition of Grimaud's summer cultural events, where live entertainment takes place in the heart of the village, as close as possible to the audience.

Organised by the town's Culture and Heritage Department, this event is a great opportunity to (re)discover open-air theatre in a typically Provençal setting.

After the laughter shared on the Place Neuve, all you need to do is take a few steps through the narrow streets of the medieval village to find the hushed calm of La Maison du Prince. In this seventeenthᵉ century mansion in the heart of the village, you leave the hustle and bustle of the festival behind for a more intimate atmosphere of ancient stonework, coolness and soothing silence.
